Junk Removal across West Michigan
Junk removal comes in two forms here. Most people take the self-service route: we deliver a roll-off to your property, you fill it on your own schedule, and we pick it up when you finish. If you would rather not load it yourself, ask about full-service junk removal for a large cleanout. Tell us what needs to go, and we quote it.
The rule of thumb on the phone: renovation debris, yard waste, a construction site or a multi-day cleanout you will load at your own pace suits a self-load dumpster. A pile you want handled for you is a conversation about full service. Either way it is one call to (616) 344-9760.
At a glance
What you get with junk removal
- Self-load dumpsters from 10 to 40 yards, priced flat by container size
- Full-service junk removal for large cleanouts, quoted when you call
- Furniture, mattresses and appliances where accepted and properly prepared
- Same-day or next-day availability in many areas
- Eligible materials recycled, and reusable items donated when appropriate
- Multi-load and ongoing projects quoted individually
Cleanouts, turnovers and the one-off pile
Home cleanouts are the biggest category: decluttering, garage, basement and attic cleanouts, and moving preparation. Property managers come next, with tenant move-outs and rental turnovers. Then businesses, with old furniture, shelving and fixtures from offices, warehouses and retail stores. Then the one-off pile: furniture and appliances, renovation debris, or branches and damaged materials after a storm.
Some things we cannot take: paint, fuel, oil, chemicals, asbestos, medical waste and batteries. Household paint and chemicals belong at a household hazardous waste collection, not in the container.
Junk removal or a dumpster: which is better?
A rough rule: if it is renovation debris, yard waste, a construction site or an ongoing cleanout, a roll-off on the driveway is usually the better deal, because you load it at your own pace and the dumpster is priced flat by container size. If it is a large cleanout you want handled for you, full-service pricing is based on volume, debris type and logistics, and multi-load or ongoing projects are quoted individually. Either way you get clear pricing up front. We will say which makes sense on the phone.

Junk removal: the local specifics
Most public options stop short of a real cleanout, and our crew sorts the eligible materials to recycling and reusable items to donation where it can. Michigan law keeps more than a de minimis amount of yard waste out of landfills (MCL 324.11514), so green material is kept separate where possible. Electronics are a grey area for us, so tell us what you have and we say what we can take before we load anything.
Answers
Junk Removal — your questions answered
Not covered here? Call (616) 344-9760 and ask.
How is junk removal priced?
Dumpster rentals are priced flat by container size. Large cleanout projects are priced on volume, debris type and logistics, and multi-load or ongoing jobs are quoted individually. Describe the pile, or email a photo to info@hollanddumpsterco.com, and we give you a clear price up front.
Do I need to be there?
For a dumpster, no, as long as we know where to place it and the area is clear. For a full-service cleanout, someone usually needs to point at what goes and what stays.
Can you take appliances?
Small non-hazardous appliances, yes. Anything with refrigerant, such as a fridge or an A/C unit, only once it has been properly handled. Tell us what the appliance is when you book.
Can you take a mattress or a couch?
Yes. Old furniture and mattresses are some of the most common things people clear, from a single room to a whole property.
How fast can you come?
Same-day or next-day may be possible across Holland, depending on scheduling. Call early in the day for the best chance.
